COMPLETE RENOVATION OF A PRIVATE RESIDENCE PAÇO DE ARCOS

This project corresponds to the complete renovation of a four-storey house in Paço de Arcos, developed for clients living in Miami who wished to completely transform their home in Portugal.

The intervention involved a deep transformation of the property, which was practically stripped back to its structure in order to allow a full reconstruction.

The project included not only the redefinition of the layout and spatial organisation but also the selection of all materials and finishes for every room in the house. This reorganisation allowed previously small areas to be enlarged and transformed into more spacious, bright and functional environments.

One of the most significant changes was the transformation of the former garage into a spacious and contemporary kitchen, which became a central element in the daily life of the house.

The staircase area was also redesigned, replacing the former wooden balustrades with glass ones and integrating indirect lighting to create greater visual lightness and continuity between floors.

On the lower floor, which was previously a large but underused area with little natural light, several distinct spaces were created — including a laundry room, guest bedroom, living area and office — transforming it into a comfortable and fully integrated part of the house.

For the main living room, a bespoke unit was also designed and built, integrating a bioethanol fireplace, television and storage solutions, creating an elegant and functional focal point.

All bedrooms were also carefully designed with custom panels and bespoke furniture, including wardrobes and other storage solutions developed by our team to respond to the needs of the house and its owners.
